Louidene’s aggressive stylings coupled with Saint Clair’s playa-smooth vibe creates an enthralling dichotomy that makes this song worth keeping on repeat. There’s really not much more we need to say than that. It's one of the most pleasant releases we’ve heard this year. On this downtempo, seven-track EP, Mary Walker’s sultry voice gets the perfect complement from the emotive production work of tnght/tmrw and Nick Van House. The back and forth between Mel Kyle and JayHawk Walker is hype-inducing and the down-South production gives the track a Southern classic feel. Instead of resting on their laurels, the trio is going for the jugular in 201 with a number of loosies, the latest of which is “I’m Wit That.” For a group that’s released a ton of strong material over the last few years, this is one of their best to date. In 2015, the Outfit, TX released the Deep Ellum EP collaborating with a gang of Dallas artists as well as a highly touted LP Down By the Trinity, which we voted as one of the best albums of the year. We featured the group’s making of the album in greater detail here. While they were making the album, the three members experienced high school, moved off to separate colleges and found love. If you take the time to fully listen to this teenage trio’s concept LP, you’ll not only hear 18 tracks of great music that's both earnest and emotive, you’ll catch up on the group’s whirlwind coming-of-age story. He’s previously produced music for Jay-Z, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, Drake and many more. Cardo is no stranger to big-time placements. The two tracks picked for the project were originally part of a batch of tracks he sent to Lamar years ago and received minor tweaks in the process. As the Dallas producer told MTV, he wasn’t aware of the secret project until a week before its release.

For producer Cardo Got Wings, it was the big name that came to him, as he produced two tracks for superstar rapper Kendrick Lamar.
